Rose: I grew up loving Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume.I think humor and horror make a great combination. Rose: Absolutely! One is actually a paranormal story that I'm really excited about, since it's so different from the Blogtastic Novel series.Kidzworld: Do you have any other books in the works? She is certain this will make for great blogging material once she gets back home, and she doesn't want to miss one single detail! A lot happens in four weeks and Sofia is glad she brought her pre-blogging notebook with her.
But what Sofia doesn't anticipate is cute boys, prank wars, possible bigfoot sightings, and new friendships. She has plenty of reasons for not wanting to go, including bugs and no internet (eek!). I won't tell you which ones though! Being clumsy, prone to bad luck, and learning lessons the hard way, make excellent experiences for a tween story. Some of the horrible embarrassments she goes though, I went through at camp when I was a kid. Especially in Secrets From The Sleeping Bag. Most of her situations are loosely based on my own experiences. Although she is way more dramatic (kind of) than I ever was. Her personality is based on 50% imagination and 50% myself.
